Why a Tea House

Why Not, but to be serious we wanted to give overseas visitors a taste of Good Old England and what could be more typical than a country side tea house, or in our case the tea tent at the village fair, with Roses around the door, blue and white china & 'uniformed' staff..

With Cream Teas or Toasted Tea Cakes, serving 'Real' English Tea, 'Real' Coffee, 'Traditional' soft drinks and 'Traditional' sweets.

And the chance for folk to have somewhere quiet and relaxing where they can come for a break, or to meet up with friends old and new.

Picture the scene if you will. A marquee decorated in a floral style with framed scenes of English culture hanging from the walls. A picket fence on the outside which is entered through a rose arbour. Tables and chairs scattered around the enclosure and inside the marquee, with informal seating provided by straw bales.

All we need now to make the scene complete is the Belles of St. Trinians, oh I forgot, this is a World Scout Jamboree, but to be serious, it should be a wonderful atmosphere for all to enjoy and remember.
